At Saint Anthony Memorial, your cardiac catheritization is performed by specially-trained nurses, x-ray technologists and registered cardiovascular technologists under the direction of a cardiologist, a medical doctor specializing in diseases of the heart and blood vessels. Other procedures performed by the cath lab team include: Cerebral, carotid, peripheral, pulmonary and biliary arteriography, Intra-aortic balloon pumping, application of "clot-busting" drugs, angioplasty of peripheral arteries, and stent placement in peripheral arteries.

Cardiac Rehab offers a three phase rehabilitation and fitness program for patients who recently have had a heart attack, coronary artery bypass surgery, coronary artery disease, or are prone to heart disease. For more information on cardiac services please call 219-877-1556.
