Approximately 200 physicians have hospital privileges at Saint Anthony Memorial. All applications for medical appointments and clinical privileges are carefully reviewed. Pre-requisites include a current license to practice medicine in Indiana, federal DEA registration, the successful completion of a post-graduate residency training program, and a residence and office location sufficiently close to the hospital to provide continuous patient care. Physicians are re-appointed every two years. Physicians have opportunities for continued medical education at Saint Anthony Memorial that focuses on areas of quality improvement through conferences, case presentations and seminars featuring guest speakers. Physicians are represented on the hospital's regional board of directors.
